The Cycle of Life

The Cycle of Life explores the continuous rhythms of nature and the interconnected systems that shape the world around us. Drawing inspiration from geological formations, erosion, mineral structures, coral formations and botanical forms, the work reflects on the cycles of growth, transformation, decay and renewal that exist throughout the natural world. Through abstraction and figuration, familiar organic forms merge with imagined landscapes, creating a space between what is visible and what lies beneath.

Fragments of natural structures emerge, dissolve and reconnect within layered compositions, echoing the constant movement and evolution of living systems. Through an intuitive process of building, concealing and revealing layers, the painting explores resilience, interconnectedness and continual change. Ultimately, The Cycle of Life reflects on our place within these greater natural processes, reminding us that everything is connected, constantly evolving and part of something much larger than ourselves.
